For Practice Operations & Office Staff

The office is extremely vigilant on social distancing and wearing face covering.

The last year has been difficult for all of us due to COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to thank all our patients for putting your trust and health in our hands.

Avanta Clinic has been open during the pandemic and we have been taking care of people. As the State of CT continues to open, we are starting to see an influx of more people wanting to come to the office, instead of using Telehealth.

We have implemented safety precautions that we are requesting everyone coming to the office follow:

• Wear a facemask for the entire visit

• Use hand sanitizer on entering the office

• Please do not bring family or friends during the visit unless absolutely necessary (e.g. wheelchair bound, unable to provide history due to dementia). Please do not bring any children with you to the visit

• If the office and/or the providers are busy with other patients, we may ask you to wait in your car instead of office waiting area to ensure social distancing

• If you have symptoms suggestive of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing, loss of smell or taste), please don’t come to the office. Please call us and we will schedule a Telehealth appointment to evaluate your symptoms

• We will continue to provide Telehealth option for regular appointment as long as insurance companies cover the service

  • (some appointment types such as annual physical may not be covered via Telehealth)

Office Hours Update:

Prior to the pandemic Dr. Bansal would see patients in the office till 6pm on Wed and Thu to allow people to schedule appointment after work. However, due to the pandemic we have to change the schedule as below:

• We will re-open till 6pm on Wednesday.

• We will no longer open till 6pm on Thursday.

  • Prior to the pandemic, Dr. Bansal would visit his Nursing Home patients on Thursday morning. However, due to increased risk of COVID-19 at Nursing Homes, he will now be going to Nursing Homes in the evening after 4:30p on Thursday ((instead of morning)) to minimize risk to staff and patients.

  • Due to other personal commitments, Dr. Bansal is unable to provide late hours on other days at this time.

Revised hours for Dr. Bansal are:

• Mon & Tue: 8:30a - 4:30p

• Wed: 10a - 6p

• Thu: 10a - 4:30p

• Fri: 8:30a - 4:30p

Robin Bansal, APRN is back to her pre-pandemic schedule:

• 10a - 4p

The office will open during the following hours and will be staffed to take calls from patients and coordinate care:

• Mon & Tue: 8:30a - 4:30p

• Wed: 8:30a - 6p

• Thu and Fri: 8:30 - 4:30p
